LERTS FOR: ÎLE à LA CROSSE - BUFFALO NARROWS - BEAUVAL

SNOWFALL WARNING IN EFFECT FOR:

  • BUFFALO NARROWS AND PETER POND LAKE
  • ÃŽLE à LA CROSSE AND BEAUVAL

SNOWFALL, WITH TOTAL AMOUNTS OF 10 TO 15 CM IS EXPECTED.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IN SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN CONTINUES TO GIVE SNOW HEAVY AT TIMES INTO WEST CENTRAL PARTS OF SASKATCHEWAN. THE HEAVY SNOW CURRENTLY OVER COLD LAKE AND MEADOW LAKE WILL MOVE EAST-NORTHEAST TO BUFFALO NARROWS AND LA RONGE AREAS EARLY THIS EVENING AND SPREAD ACROSS TO THE PELICAN NARROWS REGION BY LATE EVENING. BY THE TIME THE SNOW TAPERS OFF EARLY THURSDAY MORNING SOME LOCALITIES WILL HAVE RECEIVED ACCUMULATIONS OF 10 TO 15 CM. HOWEVER, IT IS EXPECTED THAT MOST OF THE AREAS WITHIN THE WARNED REGIONS WILL HAVE RECEIVED AROUND 5 TO 10 CM.

PREPARE FOR QUICKLY CHANGING AND DETERIORATING TRAVEL CONDITIONS. VISIBILITY MAY BE SUDDENLY REDUCED AT TIMES IN HEAVY SNOW.

SNOWFALL WARNINGS ARE ISSUED WHEN SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED.
