FREEZING RAIN WARNING IN EFFECT FOR:

  • R.M. OF BUCKLAND INCLUDING WAHPETON RES. AND SPRUCE HOME
  • R.M. OF CANWOOD INCLUDING DEBDEN AND BIG RIVER RES.

FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING EASTWARD ACROSS CENTRAL SASKATCHEWAN TONIGHT WILL BRING AN AREA OF RAIN, SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN TO CENTRAL AREAS OF THE PROVINCE. SIGNIFICANT FREEZING RAIN WILL BEGIN IN THE WESTERN WARNING AREAS LATER THIS EVENING AND MOVE EASTWARD THROUGH THE NIGHT. CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO IMPROVE LATER SATURDAY MORNING.

SURFACES SUCH AS HIGHWAYS, ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING LOTS MAY BECOME ICY AND SLIPPERY. TAKE EXTRA CARE WHEN WALKING OR DRIVING IN AFFECTED AREAS. UTILITY OUTAGES MAY OCCUR.
