A VERY INTENSE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH ALBERTA TODAY AND THROUGH CENTRAL SASKATCHEWAN TONIGHT. THIS SYSTEM WILL BEGIN TO SPREAD VERY STRONG WIND GUSTS OF 90 TO 100 KM/H TO SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN BEGINNING LATE THIS AFTERNOON. IN ADDITION, CERTAIN WIND PRONE AREAS JUST IN THE LEE OF THE CYPRESS HILLS MAY SEE GUSTS OF 110 KM/H.

THE STRONG WINDS WILL ABATE OVERNIGHT OR EARLY WEDNESDAY AS THIS WEATHER SYSTEM TRACKS INTO MANITOBA.

DAMAGE TO BUILDINGS, SUCH AS TO ROOF SHINGLES AND WINDOWS, MAY OCCUR. HIGH WINDS MAY TOSS LOOSE OBJECTS OR CAUSE TREE BRANCHES TO BREAK.

WIND WARNINGS ARE ISSUED WHEN THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT RISK OF DAMAGING WINDS.
