FREEZING RAIN WARNING IN EFFECT FOR:

  • FORT SEVERN

FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.

FREEZING RAIN TONIGHT.

UP TO 5 MM OF ICE ACCRETION IS POSSIBLE BEFORE THE FREEZING RAIN CHANGES OVER TO PLAIN RAIN BY TUESDAY MORNING. RAIN WILL CHANGE OVER TO OCCASIONAL SNOW OR A FEW FLURRIES IN THE AFTERNOON.

TRAVELLERS SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION.

SURFACES SUCH AS HIGHWAYS, ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING LOTS MAY BECOME ICY AND SLIPPERY. TAKE EXTRA CARE WHEN WALKING OR DRIVING IN AFFECTED AREAS. POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS MAY CONTRIBUTE TO TRANSPORTATION DELAYS.

FREEZING RAIN WARNINGS ARE ISSUED WHEN RAIN FALLING IN SUB-ZERO TEMPERATURES CREATES ICE BUILD-UP AND ICY SURFACES.
