SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT IN EFFECT FOR:

  • NORTH BAY - POWASSAN - MATTAWA
  • WEST NIPISSING - FRENCH RIVER

SOME FREEZING RAIN POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT OR TUESDAY MORNING.

PRECIPITATION FROM A LARGE WEATHER SYSTEM MAY ARRIVE IN THE FORM OF SOME FREEZING RAIN EARLY TUESDAY MORNING AS TEMPERATURES HOVER NEAR THE ZERO DEGREE MARK. THE FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO BE QUITE BRIEF BEFORE TURNING OVER TO PLAIN RAIN AS TEMPERATURES RISE ABOVE THE ZERO DEGREE MARK LATER TUESDAY MORNING.

TRAVEL CONDITIONS MAY DETERIORATE TUESDAY MORNING AS UNTREATED SURFACES MAY BECOME ICY AND SLIPPERY. MOTORISTS AND PEDESTRIANS SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION.

ENVIRONMENT CANADA IS CLOSELY MONITORING THE SITUATION AND FREEZING RAIN WARNINGS MAY BE ISSUED AS REQUIRED AS THIS EVENT DRAWS CLOSER.
