SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT IN EFFECT FOR:

  • NORTHERN PENINSULA EAST

A PROLONGED PERIOD OF FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN THURSDAY EVENING AND LAST THROUGH THE NIGHT BEFORE TAPERING TO FREEZING DRIZZLE ON FRIDAY. HOWEVER, FOR SOME AREAS FREEZING DRIZZLE COULD PERSIST THROUGHOUT MOST OF THE DAY FRIDAY AS TEMPERATURES MAY BE SLOW TO RISE ABOVE FREEZING IN ONSHORE WINDS.
