Current Weather Warnings Issued In Manitoba For:

LERTS FOR: GILLAM

WARNINGS

8:13 PM CST MONDAY 20 FEBRUARY 2017
SNOWFALL WARNING IN EFFECT FOR:

  • GILLAM

SNOWFALL, WITH TOTAL AMOUNTS OF 20 TO 30 CM IS EXPECTED.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH NORTHERN MANITOBA IS SPREADING HEAVY SNOWFALL TO THE REGION. IN THE EXTREME NORTH, ANOTHER 15 TO 20 CM WILL FALL TONIGHT WITH ANOTHER 5 CM TOMORROW. FURTHER SOUTH, THE GILLAM AND SHAMATTAWA AREAS CAN EXPECT AN ADDITIONAL 5 TO 10 CM TONIGHT. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL MOVE OUT OF THE AREA LATE TUESDAY BUT LIGHTER SNOW WILL LINGER INTO WEDNESDAY.

TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED. VISIBILITY MAY BE SUDDENLY REDUCED AT TIMES IN HEAVY SNOW. HEAVY SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION MAY CAUSE TREE BRANCHES TO BREAK.
