Current Weather Warnings Issued In British Columbia For:

LERTS FOR: HOWE SOUND

WARNINGS

RAINFALL WARNING IN EFFECT FOR:

  • HOWE SOUND

A LONG EPISODE OF RAIN, AT TIMES HEAVY, IS EXPECTED.

A SERIES OF MILD PACIFIC STORMS ARE SET TO BRING HEAVY RAIN TO THE AREA WITH 75-100 MM OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE BY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

THE FIRST STORM IS CURRENTLY CROSSING THE SOUTH COAST AND MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN IS BEING REPORTED NEAR SQUAMISH. AMOUNTS NEAR 38 MM HAVE BEEN REPORTED AT THE SQUAMISH AIRPORT AS OF 3 AM. RAIN SHOULD EASE SOMEWHAT THIS MORNING AS THIS SYSTEM MOVES INLAND.

A SECOND STORM SYSTEM APPROACHING LATE IN THE DAY WILL BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF HEAVY RAIN TO THE REGION TONIGHT. RAIN WILL EASE WEDNESDAY MORNING WITH SHOWERS EXPECTED TO PERSIST THROUGH THE DAY.

LOCALIZED FLOODING IN LOW-LYING AREAS IS POSSIBLE.
